Sixth Form Programme
The Sixth Form Programme at Convent of Mercy Academy prepares students to pursue teritiary studies through a rigorous and holistic Programme.
Upper Sixth Form Programme 2021-2022
Information is provided below to Applicants for Grade 12 (Lower Sixth Form) for the academic year 2021-2022.
Applicants should have:
- a good record of discipline, punctuality and attendance.
- a good record of participation in co-curricular activities (clubs and societies and sports) .
- a good record of completing and submitting assignments and projects.
- at least grade 3 in the subjects they wish to continue in the Sixth Form Programme.
A processing fee of $1000.00, which is NON REFUNDABLE, should be paid before your application is processed. All fees may be paid by debit or credit card at the Main Office or online via our banking platform using the information below:

Students are advised that acceptance will not be given until results are available.
ALL students are required to pay fees. The fee for the academic year 2021-2022 is JMD $63,000. Students who are from the academy who pay all fees upon confirmed acceptance, will pay a discounted rate of JMD $55,000.00. If a payment plan is to be considered the fee will be JMD $63,000 and an initial payment of $30,000.00 is mandatory and non-negotiable to secure a space in our Sixth Form.
The payment schedule will be available in September but will include examination fees and will not go beyond the period when the payment of examination fees has been finalized.
All grade 13 students must take part in at least TWO Co-Curricular Activities and are bound by a commitment to obey the Rules and Regulations which govern the conduct of students of Convent of Mercy Academy.

PRE-REQUISITES FOR UPPER SIXTH FORM CAPE SUBJECTS
Applicants must have at least a grade THREE in the subjects they wish to continue in the Sixth Form Programme.
In the absence of results, lower sixth form grades or projected grades may be used in determining a candidate's suitability for pursuing a subject at the CAPE level – Applicable only to Alpharians.

Caribbean Studies is compulsory for all upper sixth form students.
You may select a TOTAL of THREE subjects OR a minimum of TWO Subjects, which CANNOT be from the same Group. (Make reference to the Prerequisite outlined above)
